Yes, a brand new tune out of the House of KOTU! We kinda went a lil back to our roots with this one. 808 and 303 with a few beats and a bassline, recorded straight into the multitracker, some vocals, a JX marimba and a square-pad. Nothing more, nothing less, just STRICTLY JACKIN’ ACID HOUSE!

It’s 2010 and we’re finally back! “What I Like” is the new jacking summer anthem from KOTU, ready to hit the streets! The song was originally released by Anthony & The Camp back in 1986, and as the original is so effing brilliant we just had to cover it! Listen to – and download – “What I Like” right away!

Experimental Battle!

Posted on August 31, 2010

Thru DJing this weekend I gave the dancers something to groove to at the first ever Experimental Battle in Sweden.
Thanks to everyone involved, especially Freshest for arranging, it was truly a Jam to remember!

Located at Kulturhuset in Stockholm the dancers got down and sweaty to Electronic music and Jazz from all over. The Queen of the night and winner of the whole thing was Anna Ninja/Ling Ling (picture above) from the FIERCE dance group P*Fect, her solo to ‘Lasse Fernlöf – The Chameleon’ made the roof come down, epic!

This is my favourit top 10 trax from the evening;

1. Mount Kimbie – Serged
2. Ahmad Jamal – Swahililand
3. Bonobo feat. Andreya Triana – Eyesdown (Warrior 1 Remix)
4. Joe – Claptrap
5. Burial – Shutta
6. B. Bravo – Computa Love
7. The Quiet Nights Orchestra – Fly Me To The Moon
8. Hypno – Over The Top
9. Dead Boy – If You Want Me
10. Lasse Fernlof – The Chameleon

XOXO @funkyloffe

Robotaanika Park 2010

Posted on August 10, 2010

Turns out Woodstock is an Estonian electronic music festival with 500 participants.

While working on new material its always good to find some time to breathe. So I packed my bags and took a little trip over the baltic sea, then deep, deep into the Estonian forest and on to an untouched shoreline.
DJ’s and Artists from 5 countries did the same. For two days Electronic music silenced the sound of the waves. If you ever pass by Estonia in the summer I strongly recommend you visit Robotaanika Park.

As said we are currently working on new material so be patient, when the dust clears its still gonna be smokin’!
