Roland MKS-80 Backlight Replacement!

Posted on December 17, 2009

So.. this afternoon was spent replacing the display backlight of my Roland MKS-80. I think the result turned out great, and now I can finally see what’s on the display during those late night recording sessions.

Before.. How dark and dull..

..and here’s what the Super Jupiter looks like without its front panel attached..

Display away!

And here’s the result with the new backlight fitted! Doesn’t it look great?

Holla! @kyaal

  2. Hey Greg,
It’s actually not a complete display, but a backlight foil which is replaceable. I got it from http://www.midi-rakete.de/. Probably the best place to buy from if you’re in Europe. Good luck with your search! //Karl
